Paul Murphy Centre is a 8 bed service which combines with 4 residential beds and 4 respite beds for short breaks offering experiences to individuals over 18 years.

Extensive consultation has taken place at design and build stage, using the experiences of family carers and clinical specialists. The centre has been beautifully designed to provide outstanding care in a high quality setting. Features such as track hoists, wet rooms, both hydraulic and internal lifts and quiet space have been thoughtfully designed into the fabric of the building to cater for people with many different abilities and needs.

What We Offer

Our dedicated team supports people in all aspects of daily living promoting their independence and learning skills in a fun and exciting way. People we support are encouraged to complete activities within the community which include going for lunch, shopping trips, attending social clubs and discos.

Within the service we have a sensory area, arts & crafts room, monthly themed parties and organised monthly day trips to the museum, zoo, sea life centres or to the seaside.

We also participate in activities within the disability community including Wheels For All which is a service that allows wheelchair users to participate in adapted bike riding and Bendrigg Trust whom offers holidays to disability adapted adventure camps.
